Spay / Neuter Services

The Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA provides low-cost spay/neuter services for owned pets and feral cats in order to solve the problem of over pet population in our community. With the generous support of the community and local veterinarians, the SPCA offers year-round assistance to pet owners through our low-cost spay/neuter program. The following are our fees for pet owners in the City of Charlottesville, Albemarle, Greene, Fluvanna, Louisa, Orange, Madison and Nelson counties.

Dogs
Pitbulls: Free
Female: $65
Male: $50
Income Qualified: $20 (see right sidebar)

Cats
Female: $40
Male: $30
Income Qualified: $20 (see right sidebar)

Ferals:
Spay/neuter services are free. Traps can be rented for a deposit of $50 and a weekly fee of $5. Please contact Voices for Animals for more information, 979-1200 or feralcats@voicesforanimals.org.

Income Qualified Guidelines

If you qualify based on the income guidelines below all spay/neuter services are $20 for dogs & cats

• Individuals who make $20,000 or less

• Families with no children who make $30,000 a year or less

• Individuals/families with children who make $40,000 a year or less.
