Finance/HR Manager
Flexible position (full or part-time) available for enthusiastic and motivated individual with a desire to help the animals in our community. Our qualified candidate will have experience with Quickbooks and preparation of financial statements, day to day accounting practices, and a good grasp of working with information databases. Experience with human resource management is a plus. A good attitude, a willingness to learn and being a team player are a must. Community Services Manager
Full-time, salaried position available with benefits. We are seeking an energetic self starter who is comfortable working within a fast-pace multitasking environment. General responsibilities include staffing, training, motivating and supervision of front desk counselors. Recruiting, inspiring, retaining and supervision of the volunteer program. Oversee the administrative processes of the volunteer program and front desk. Ensure stellar customer service is provided to all visitors of the SPCA and make certain that the guidelines, philosophies, established programs and initiatives of the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA are being followed on a daily basis by the staff and volunteers. Experience in the following is preferred: strong skills in conflict resolution and customer service, have team supervision/management experience, basic knowledge of computer programs, general knowledge of animal behavior, and have college degree or equivalent work experience.

Animal Care Technicians
Part-time positions. We are seeking motivated and energetic animal lovers that are comfortable in a fast paced team environment. Responsibilities are to maintain a healthy, clean, safe and pleasant environment for the animals in our care. Providing extra TLC to our cats and dogs is a must. Vet Assistant
Full-time positions available. We are seeking energetic animal lovers that are comfortable working in a fast pace environment. Responsibilities include administering vaccines, monitoring the health of the animals, testing new animals for FELV/FIV and heartworms, administering medicines to sick animals, and working in surgery with our staff veterinarian. The right candidate must be dependable, possess light data entry skills, and have the ability to work within a team environment. The position will require working at least one weekend day. Director of Veterinarian Services
The Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA (“CASPCA”) seeks an experienced and dedicated Director of Veterinarian Services to oversee the veterinary clinic operations of a new facility, caring for approximately 4,500 animals annually. The CASPCA is an open admission No Kill shelter, seeking to be a model for other communities. Our Veterinarian Director will manage a staff consisting of veterinarians, technicians and assistants. Responsibilities will include spay/neuter surgery, development of efficient and economical shelter medicine protocols for diagnosis and treatment and disease control, management of staff, and public education regarding good animal health care. Responsibilities also include teaching of fourth year veterinarian students, as the CASPCA hosts a Veterinary Student Intern Program. Adoption Counselor

Full-time position available. We are seeking an outgoing animal lover that is comfortable working within a fast pace environment. Responsibilities include light cleaning; assisting the public with adoptions and intake of strays and pets in a friendly, courteous and approachable manner. The right candidate must be dependable, possess excellent customer service skills, light data entry skills, and the ability to work within a team environment. Retail Help - Cashiers and Donation Processors
Part-time position available at our Rummage Store on Preston Ave. Responsibilities include: checking people out, helping with taking in items, working with volunteers, restocking and good customer service. No experience needed, we will train.
